About

Christine Lee Art Advisory was founded by Christine Lee in 2011. We are an international advisory with consultants and art experts located in global art capitals including New York, London, Paris and Seoul. Our aim is to provide an informative and comprehensive guidance for our clients in selecting artwork(s) or building private collections for residences, corporations or public environments–tailored to specific interest or goals of each collector or collection. We work on all aspects of the collecting process including research, identifying and accessing artworks, negotiating acquisitions, curating, framing, installations, deaccessions and collection management.

Christine held various positions in the arts including gallery director, VP at art consulting firm specializing in private & corporate collections, senior art consultant, art writer, and worked in numerous international art galleries such as Haunch of Venison of Christie's, The FLAG Art Foundation, Arario Gallery, Martos Gallery, SUN Contemporary and Galerie Richard based in New York, Seoul and Paris, which allowed her to experience modern and contemporary art from around the world. She is also an art journalist and contributor to three publications, Art Radar Journal, The Culture Trip and Forbes, writing about art, Asian contemporary art and investing in art. In 2021, she was invited by UNESCO’s Art Collection team to contribute to UNESCO’s 75th Anniversary Publication. In addition, since 2022, Christine has been teaching a course at Christie’s Education.

Christine obtained a BA in Comparative Literature, a Masters in Communication Design from Pratt Institute, and studied Modern and Contemporary Art, Connoisseurship and the Art Market from Christie's Education, and Curating from Sotheby’s Institute of Art in New York.

With over ten years of experience in modern and contemporary art, she is an art consultant to private collectors, corporations, hospitalities and architects, nationwide, and internationally in North America, Asia and Europe. She is also the founder of OPENART Advisory + Projects.
